How is Lead Management different from CRM?

Lead Management is for prospective customers actively considering a purchase: machine inquiries, demo requests, financing applications, abandoned carts, class registrations. CRM is for existing customers and the ongoing relationship: purchase history, service reminders, loyalty programs, email marketing, repeat-purchase tracking. Both modules share the same customer record so a prospect becomes a customer without a data hand-off.

Where do leads actually come from?

Every entry point on the BCC platform: web forms (contact, demo requests, financing applications), class and event registrations, in-store walk-ins logged by staff, abandoned carts, product page browsing behavior, and inbound chat conversations. Leads from outside BCC — trade shows, paid ads, partner referrals — can be imported in bulk or via API.

How does abandoned cart recovery actually work?

When a customer leaves products in their cart, BCC captures the snapshot — what was in the cart, browsing path, contact info if available. Sales staff get a real-time alert on high-value carts ($1K+). Automated email sequences trigger on a configurable delay (default: 1 hour, 24 hours, 3 days) with personalized product reminders and financing prompts. On really hot leads, a salesperson can intervene with a phone call or an in-store appointment offer.

What about leads from trade shows or paid ads?

Import them. Drop a CSV from your trade-show scanner. Tag leads with the source so you can later compare which channels actually generate sales — not just clicks.
