BCC Time Clock · Payroll-ready hours

Your store already knows who’s working. Now it keeps their hours too.

Hours are the biggest cost most stores have — and usually the least carefully tracked. BCC Time Clock puts hours in the same place as your staff, your locations, your registers, and your reports. Any tablet becomes a station. Every rule is a setting. Payroll files are one click away.

The end of Monday-morning payroll

Paper timecards, spreadsheets, “I forgot to clock out Friday” — done.

Every retailer has the same Monday morning: a stack of paper timecards, a “mostly” up-to-date spreadsheet, a text message about a forgotten clock-out, and a payroll deadline. BCC Time Clock puts hours in the same place as everything else — and applies your rules to every shift, automatically.

A station on any tablet

Nothing to buy. Set up in 15 minutes.

Open the time clock address on a tablet by the back door or a computer in the office. A manager signs in once to name the station, and it’s ready. Staff tap their name, type a PIN, and clock in. It takes seconds — and it works the same at every location.

  1. 1
Open the URL on any device

Any modern tablet, iPad, Chromebook, PC, or Mac. Full-screen kiosk mode, big touch targets. It’s the same station wherever you deploy it.

  2. 2
    Manager signs in once

The manager names the station (e.g. “Front counter”) and picks its store location. That’s the only sign-in the station will ever need.

  3. 3
Staff clock in with their PIN

Tap your name (or search by typing), enter your PIN, and hit Clock in. Same for breaks and clock-out. No accounts to remember.

  4. 4
    Server time, always in step

The station shows and records the server’s time, not the device’s. Nobody can nudge the tablet clock forward. Every punch lands in the store’s time zone.

EVERY STATION INCLUDES

Set it up. Stop thinking about it.

  • Full-screen kiosk look Separate from the admin, big touch targets, staff can’t wander off into settings.
  • Rename, move, disable, remove Manage every station from the admin. Move a tablet between locations, and the station follows.
  • Full station history Set up, changed, locked, unlocked, removed — every event kept with who did it.
  • Location-in-step with POS Someone selling at a store can clock in there. Change POS store access and time-clock locations update too.
Everything the time clock does

Six modules. One clean paycheck.

Breaks, overtime, corrections, payroll, POS handoff, and security — each a proper first-class feature, not an afterthought.

Breaks without the paperwork

Staff don’t clock out for lunch — they tap Start meal break and End my break. Meal and rest breaks are individually configurable, paid or unpaid, with daily limits and a missed-meal-break watch.

  • Meal & rest breaks — each on/off, paid/unpaid
  • Daily limits (defaults: 1 meal, 2 rest)
  • Missed-meal-break warning at clock-out

Overtime, worked out for you

Weekly OT, daily OT, and daily double time — each with its own threshold. Any day starts the workweek. Pay periods weekly, bi-weekly, semi-monthly, or monthly. Optional rounding to 5/6/10/15 min for payroll.

  • Weekly + daily OT + double time
  • Custom workweek start day
  • Overnight shifts count toward start day

Managers fix, nothing hidden

People forget to clock out. The time clock closes forgotten shifts automatically and flags them. Every correction needs a reason and is kept with the before/after. When payroll asks “why is this shift different?”, the answer is one click.

  • Auto clock-out for forgotten shifts
  • Every change needs a reason
  • Full before/after history per shift

Straight into payroll

Download hours as Excel, CSV, or PDF any time. Ready-to-import files for ADP, Gusto, Paychex, and QuickBooks Desktop — matched to your people by employee number or name. QuickBooks Online sync via the Orders → QuickBooks connection.

  • Regular / OT / double time per person, per day
  • Close a pay period — hours locked
  • Reopen for corrections if payroll needs it

Part of your Point of Sale

Signing in to the POS register can clock people in at that register’s location. The time clock can remind or insist that a register is closed before someone clocks out. Store access and location assignments stay in sync both ways.

  • POS sign-in doubles as clock-in
  • Warn or block clock-out with an open register
  • Locations stay in step both ways

Built for shared devices

Stations are used by everyone, so they’re built to be hard to abuse. PINs stored only as a secure hash. Too many wrong PINs pause an account; too many failures lock the station and email chosen managers. Failed sign-ins logged (never the PIN).

  • PIN 4–32 digits · can start with 0
  • “Easy PINs” (1234, 1111) refused
  • Per-person / per-station / per-IP lockout tiers
Breaks & Overtime

Your rules. Applied to every shift.

Weekly overtime, daily overtime, double time, workweek start day, pay period cadence, and rounding — each is a setting. Configure once and the time clock does the arithmetic on every shift.

Timesheets & corrections

Every shift. Auditable.

Managers see everyone on the clock right now, and every shift in any date range. Shifts that need a look — forgotten clock-outs, missed meal breaks — are flagged. Every correction requires a reason and keeps the before/after.

Built for shared devices

Hard to abuse. Easy to trust.

A time clock station lives on the floor, gets shared, and gets touched all day. Every layer is designed to make it hard to abuse and easy to audit.

ENTER PIN Sarah Mitchell
PIN stored as secure hash

PINs hashed, never stored raw

PIN length 4–32 digits, can start with 0. Easy PINs (repeats like 1111, runs like 1234) are refused. Staff set their own PIN at a station or a manager assigns one.

Three-tier lockout protection

Per person: too many wrong PINs pause the account. Per station: too many failed tries lock the station and email chosen managers. Per username / IP: repeated failures block outright.

Server time, not device time

The station shows and records the server’s time, in the store’s time zone. Nobody can nudge the tablet clock forward. Every punch lands in the right time zone, always.

Full log of failed sign-ins

Every failed attempt is logged — who tried, from which station and IP, when. Never the PIN or password typed. Kept for the time you choose. Managers can review, unlock, and clear blocks from the admin.

One open shift per person, enforced by the database

The database itself won’t allow a person to have two open shifts. So double-punches, race conditions, and duplicate rows are architecturally impossible — not just guarded against.

Common questions

What dealers ask about BCC Time Clock.

No. Any tablet, iPad, Chromebook, PC, or Mac becomes a station. Open the time-clock URL in a browser, have a manager sign in once to name and locate the station, and you’re ready. Most dealers repurpose an old iPad or spare Windows tablet that was already lying around the back office.

Optionally, deeply. If you already run BCC POS, signing in to the register can clock the person in at that register’s location. On the way out, the time clock can warn (or block) clock-out if a register is still open. And a person’s POS store access and time-clock locations stay in sync automatically — change one, the other follows.

Every rule is a setting. Weekly OT threshold, daily OT threshold, daily double-time threshold, workweek start day, pay period cadence (weekly / bi-weekly / semi-monthly / monthly), and optional rounding to 5/6/10/15 minutes — set them however your jurisdiction requires. Overnight shifts count toward the day they started.

The time clock closes the forgotten shift automatically and flags it for review. A manager corrects the times with a reason — the reason and the before/after are kept forever with the shift. When payroll asks “why is this shift different?” the answer is one click on the shift’s history.

Ready-to-import files for ADP, Gusto, Paychex, and QuickBooks Desktop. For QuickBooks Online, closed pay periods sync as time entries through the same Orders → QuickBooks connection you already have — re-sending replaces, never doubles. And Excel / CSV / PDF downloads work for any payroll system not on that list.

Yes. Close the pay period and every shift in it becomes read-only — the hours stay exactly as they were paid. If payroll finds an error, you can reopen it, correct it, and close again. Every reopen is logged.

Every PIN is stored only as a secure hash — the station never keeps a PIN, and even the server can’t retrieve it. Easy PINs (repeated digits like 1111, runs like 1234) are refused. Length is 4–32 digits and can start with 0. Staff set their own PIN at a station by signing in once, or a manager sets it for them.

Three-tier defense. Per person — too many wrong PINs pause that person’s account until a manager unlocks them. Per station — too many failures lock the station and email the managers you’ve chosen. Per username and network address — repeated failures block outright. Every failed attempt is logged (never the PIN typed).

Yes. Each station belongs to a store location, and each employee has a list of locations they’re assigned to. Optional rule: someone can only clock in at stations at their assigned locations. Multi-location dealers routinely put one station at each store’s back door — and Payroll Hours rolls them up per person, per pay period.
