Dealer Managed ($50/mo) is the chat platform — widget, dashboard, mobile apps, visitor tracking, transcripts. Your team picks up every conversation. Live Agent ($150/mo) is everything in Dealer Managed plus Indition’s trained BERNINA agents answering on your behalf. Shop-specific questions (stock, class schedule, service status) still route to your team via escalation rules you define.

How long does it take to add chat to our storefront?

If you’re already on BCC, the chat widget switches on in admin. Most dealers are live within an hour: configure colors and welcome message, set per-page visibility, install the mobile apps for your team, and you’re taking chats. No code, no developer call.

Can we match the chat widget to our brand?

What do the Indition live agents actually answer?

The agents are trained on the full BERNINA product line — machines, accessories, embroidery modules, software, and feature differences across model tiers. They handle pre-purchase questions, “which machine is right for me,” accessory compatibility, and general support. Shop-specific items — stock on the floor, class schedule, service ticket status — route to your team via escalation rules you control.

Do we need to be at a computer to respond?

No — iOS and Android apps with push notifications. Your service writer can answer chats from the floor between customers; you can answer from your car on a Saturday morning. Conversations sync across desktop and mobile in real time.

Where are chat transcripts stored?

Inside your BCC instance, alongside the rest of your customer data. Transcripts are searchable from the dashboard, exportable to CSV, and can be pushed to your CRM (HubSpot, etc.) automatically via integration. Files shared in chat are stored in BCC’s asset library with the same access controls as the rest of your store.

Can we start with Dealer Managed and upgrade later?

Yes — you can switch between plans any time. Every dealer we’ve talked to is on a different mix: some staff chat themselves M–F and switch to Live Agent on weekends, some use Live Agent full-time and skip dashboard entirely.
